Robert P Smith

Robert P. Smith, our senior partner, graduated from Law School in 1973 and was called to the bar in 1974. Bob was born and raised in Steinbach. He became a partner, along with John Neufeld, in our predecessor firm in 1978. Bob married his favourite nurse, Maggie. They now live in an empty nest as their three children, Jennifer, Julia and Rob, have all left Steinbach. Throughout his life, he has been extremely active in community affairs. Bob served as a Councillor for the City of Steinbach and has sat on numerous boards, both as a member and chairperson. His passion is sports. He coached baseball, ringette and hockey for many years. He also served as the manager of the Eastman AAA Midget Selects for two years. While enjoying golf as often as his schedule permits in the summer, he can also be seen taking long walks with his wife Maggie on almost a daily basis. Bob's preferred areas of practise include Commercial and Corporate transactions, Real Estate Property Law, Mortgage transactions, Wills and Estate Planning, and Estate Law.
